New Information: Palm Harbor deadly shooting | News

Palm Harbor, Florida -- Pinellas detectives are investigating an early morning shooting near the Boot Ranch neighborhood that left 30-year-old Brandon Patrick Baker of Palm Harbor, dead.

Detectives say Baker and two other drivers were heading southbound on McMullen Booth Road when something occurred on the road, although detectives are not saying what it was exactly. 

But it was enough to prompt all three to pull over onto Seagull Drive, where an altercation occurred between Baker and the shooter.

Baker was shot dead on scene.

The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, as detectives continue to piece the stories together. The shooter and the second witness are still being questioned at this time.  

While it seems to be a case of road rage, detectives will not say that is what sparked the deadly shooting.

A white pickup truck and silver Mitsubishi were towed from the scene, while a woman came to pick up the black BMW.  The Sheriff's Office is not saying which car belonged to Baker.
